Family Time is a single-player simulation game developed and self-published by sgthale. The official pitch says it best: "Build a family of thousands of wolf children with your own wolf partner!" You play a father — suddenly, and somewhat against your will — responsible for a litter of wolf children that grows larger every single night.

The premise

Per the official Steam "About This Game" copy: all of a sudden you have to take care of dozens of wolf children. Their number grows every night. Fail to care for them and your partner, the Wolf Mama, "...will kill you!" — official marketing hyperbole, but it tells you exactly where the pressure comes from. The game then asks its signature question: "Can you support 10 children? 100? 1000? 10,000? Find out."

The four official pillars

Everything revealed so far hangs on four pillars from the official page:

  1. Shelter Your Family — build houses for them, or command the children to build them for you (yes, there is a command system).
  2. Feed your Family — farm food for them or go out hunting with them.
  3. Pamper your Family — keep the pups snug in their own beds so the Wolf Mama stays calm.
  4. Scale — the 10 → 100 → 1,000 → 10,000 ladder, backed by the developer's "novel GPU tech to push Unity past its limits" (the official itch.io line).

| | | |---|---| | Developer / Publisher | sgthale | | Official genres | Adventure, Casual, Indie, Simulation | | Modes | Single-player, Family Sharing | | Platform | Windows PC | | Steam status | Not yet available — planned release window Q1 2027 (a window, not a date) | | Playable today | Episodic demo via itch.io / Patreon | | Languages | 11 interface languages, English full audio |

The game also carries an official AI disclosure: AI was used for concept art, prototype textures, and quick mesh tests, "eventually replaced with real artist graphic designs and hand-tailored models."

Two release lines — don't mix them up

This is the single most common confusion, so the Hub keeps them apart everywhere:

  • The demo line: playable today as Episodes. The developer's official devlog (Oct 9, 2026) made Episode 2 free and shipped Episode 3 as its continuation.
  • The Steam line: the full version is not out. The store page is in wishlist stage with a planned window of Q1 2027 — and Family Time is not participating in Steam Early Access.
