Short answer, checked October 13, 2026: no Family Time mods exist that we could find, and there's a structural reason why. This page tracks the evidence and what would change the picture.

What the checks found

Each line below says what kind of evidence backs it:

  • Steam Workshop: empty. The game is unreleased on Steam, so no Workshop items can exist; the Workshop URL for the app renders the community hub with zero workshop entries (direct check).
  • Nexus Mods: nothing found. Two targeted web searches returned no game page and no mod pages. Caveat: that's search-index evidence, not an on-site crawl — a page could theoretically exist unindexed.
  • Official channels: no mod support documented. The itch.io project page and both recent devlogs contain no mod mention, no mod loader, no tools.
  • Community: no mod talk. The captured itch comments and Steam hub topics contain no "will there be mods?" threads at all — feature requests go straight to the developer instead.

Why there's nothing to mod yet

Two structural facts explain the empty ecosystem:

  1. The full game isn't released. Steam's Workshop needs a released app.
  2. The demo distributes through Patreon, not as a moddable public install base — there's no documented file structure or loader to build against.

The engine is Unity (official page copy). Unity games often acquire community mod frameworks eventually — but that's a general pattern, not a promise about this game, and the developer has made no statement about mod tools either way.

What to do instead of waiting for mods

The realistic feature-request path already works: the developer replies in the itch comments. Two documented examples from October 2026 — asked about campfires and bigger forests, they answered "probably!"; asked about a mobile version, "Yes!".

So: post the idea on the itch.io page comments or back the Patreon. No mod required.

What would change this page

  • A Steam release (Workshop becomes possible).
  • An official statement about mod tools.
  • A verified Nexus or Workshop entry appearing.

Any of those and this page updates with a new check date. Until then: Family Time on Steam tracks the release side, and how to play covers what's actually in the game.
