Short answer (checked October 13, 2026): Family Time is not out yet. The Steam store page says, verbatim:

"# Planned Release Date: Q1 2027"

Read that label carefully — Steam's "Planned" wording is the developer's current estimate, not a commitment. No exact date has been announced. If anywhere quotes a specific day (or an old "2026 release" claim), treat it as outdated or false until this very page's source says otherwise.

What "planned window" actually means

Steam gives developers two ways to state an upcoming launch: a firm date or a window like "Q1 2027". Family Time uses the window form — which means:

  • The quarter can shift without anyone lying to you.
  • Pre-order, price, and edition details don't exist publicly yet.
  • The only notification mechanism today is the wishlist.

The official timeline so far

All dates are RSS publication dates from the developer's own devlog feed:

| Date (GMT) | Milestone | |---|---| | 2026-07-04 | First public devlog ("Chickens and Hunger!") | | 2026-07-10 | "…a demo is in the works as well" — demo confirmed | | 2026-09-12 | Steam store page opens, wishlists open | | 2026-10-09 | Episode 3 out; Episode 2 becomes free | | Q1 2027 | Planned Steam release window (current official estimate) |

Playable today, meanwhile

The demo is the game you can actually touch: Episode 2 (free) and Episode 3 (its continuation) via the official itch.io → Patreon route. The Early Access page explains why that demo is not Steam Early Access — the game isn't participating in it.

A misinformation watch note

A search snippet circulating a "Steam Launch! Mar 28, 2026" date for Family Time is false — it almost certainly refers to the same developer's other game (MyRobot, already on Steam). The rule of thumb this hub uses: anything about Family Time's launch gets checked against the official Steam page first, and so should anything you read elsewhere — including here.
