sgthale.itch.io/family-time is the developer's official home for Family Time — and the single best place to watch the project breathe. Captured October 13, 2026.

Reading the page

Four lines at the top set everything:

  • "A downloadable game" — it's a desktop download, not a browser game.
  • "In heavy development!" — the developer's own status banner.
  • "Play the official demo at patreon.com/sgthale" — the demo's actual distribution route. The itch page itself has no download button.
  • "THERE IS NO OFFICIAL MOBILE APP! Beware of scams!" — pinned in bold. See APK & mobile status.

The info table lists it as Simulation / Role Playing with tags like Animals, Anime, Cozy, Cute, Slice of Life — and an official AI disclosure ("AI Assisted, Code"). Its "Released" status and its rating (4.9/5 at capture, live count) describe the page's demo distribution, nothing more.

What "Released" means here — and what it doesn't

itch.io marks a page "Released" when it publishes downloadable content. For Family Time that's the Episode demo line, not the finished game. The Steam side says the opposite thing for the full version — "not yet available" with a planned Q1 2027 window. Both are true; they describe different lines. Early Access & versions untangles them.

The devlogs

Nine entries between July 4 and October 9, 2026 (GMT dates from the RSS feed — the titles' internal dates run weeks behind):

| Date (GMT) | Devlog | |---|---| | 2026-10-09 | Episode 3 is out, Episode 2 is now free! | | 2026-10-02 | DevBlog 7/3/26 — Headpats and Water! | | 2026-09-12 | Family Time Now On Steam for Wishlists! | | 2026-09-04 | DevBlog 8/01/26 — Building and Sleeping! | | 2026-08-28 | DevBlog 7/15/26 — Commands And Digging! | | 2026-08-21 | DevBlog 7/11/26 — Uppies and Food Mechanics! | | 2026-08-14 | DevBlog 7/10/26 — Chickens and Hunger! | | 2026-07-10 | DevBlog 7/10/26 — Uppies and Food Mechanics! | | 2026-07-04 | DevBlog 7/3/26 — Chickens and Hunger! |

One honest quirk the developer states in the posts themselves: itch DevBlogs are delayed reposts of videos that appear on Patreon weeks earlier. If you want the bleeding edge, that's where it lands first.

The comments are the support desk

The itch comment section doubles as Q&A, and the developer answers there — including "Yes!" on a planned mobile version and "probably!" on campfires (October 2026). Installation help, bug reports, and the community's meme culture all live in the same thread. An official Discord does not exist that we could verify — invites claiming otherwise are unverified.
